DJ Personality- Personable, professional, detail-oriented and able to adapt at a moments notice.
DJ Style- I start the majority of the receptions in the same manner. I begin with classic upbeat songs, then thrown in a few newer songs as well as a number of slow songs. It is my desire to make everyone, regardless of age, feel comfortable and happy at the event.
What is your favorite DJ memory? –or– What was the funniest thing to ever happen at an event?
Recently, I had performed at a small reception at Andre’s West. Everyone was so nice, the bride and groom, their closest friends as well as their family were having such a great time. I had noticed that the wedding party was into anything that was “old school” so I decided to make a comment that “we are all hear to have fun and perhaps make fools of ourselves” as I placed all of the YMCA hats on my table. Immediately there after all of the groomsmen including the groom rushed the table grabbed the hats and performed the YMCA for everyone at the reception. The girls got into the dancing, parents were taking lots of pictures and the guys receiving a loud round of applause after the song, what a night!
What is your favorite thing about being a DJ? –or– What is your proudest achievement as a DJ?
The best part about being a DJ is that I am playing the music that I love as well as the music that means so much to others. Friends, family, and guests provide requests to me all the time. But sometimes they tell me why those particular songs are so important, and that means a lot to me. In regards to proudest achievement as a DJ there are too many to list, but what means the most to me is when a bride/groom reply back in a week or so after their event stating that they had no idea how the reception was going to turn out. But then they describe being amazed by the level of professionalism as well as being taken aback by the positive feedback that they received from their own friends and family in regards to the requests, the type of music played and the overall level of excitement at the event.
What makes you unique / stand out as a DJ? –or– What are your specialties as a DJ?
My personality, as with so many other DJ’s, is my strong point. I am accommodating and entertaining as well as dedicated and accomplished. I think quickly on my feet and I always make the bride and groom, the wedding party, and their parents feel confident that I will provide an unforgettable event.
What is your favorite part of the night?
My favorite part of the night is when everyone begins packing the dance floor, I start getting bombarded with requests, the bride and groom are smiling and are the center of attention and the wedding party is looking to me for more. I turn the music up a little, turn down the house lights a bit more and use the music to dictate the remainder of the event.
What is your favorite party song?
Currently, anything from Lady Gaga packs the dance floor. But honestly I cannot pick just one party song, there are so many great songs that can and do work for almost any type of event.
Why did you become a DJ?
I became a DJ because of my love and passion for music. I also enjoy interacting with the public. Speaking to small and/or large groups of people comes quite natural to me and I take great pride in being accountable for the success of the event.
List one fun fact about you most people do not know:
